How Much Does In Vitro Fertilization Cost?
IVF costs can be difficult to generalize since each treatment is unique to the reproductive needs of the individual patient. On average, one cycle of IVF treatment at our clinics can range from $7,000 to $14,000.
These fees typically cover the costs of the IVF procedure (egg retrieval, inseminating eggs, and embryo transfer), as well as lab work, ultrasounds, embryo storage, and anesthesia. During your consultation at our Bakersfield, Thousand Oaks, Los Angeles, or Encino fertility office, our staff will patiently explain embryo storage and other cost factors and help you understand what you might expect to pay for fertility treatment.
Does Insurance Cover IVF?
Insurance coverage doesn't generally apply to IVF. Insurance companies may cover some forms of fertility testing and evaluation, but it's rare for insurance coverage to apply to the cost of IVF treatment.
While most insurance plans do not cover IVF, some parts of the procedure (monitoring or medications, for example) may be fully covered or partially covered. Our financial department can help you navigate your insurance policy and may be able to find some coverage for the infertility services you require. The compassionate professionals who comprise our staff will be glad to work directly with your insurance provider to maximize your coverage of all applicable fertility services.
