IVF Cost

In vitro fertilization (IVF) can increase the chances of pregnancy and live birth, but some people worry about the cost.

Drs. Nurit Winkler and Marc Kalan can discuss your concerns and find ways to make fertility services more affordable.

Come to our fertility clinics serving Bakersfield, Los Angeles, and Encino, CA, to find out how much an IVF cycle will cost you.

How Much Does In Vitro Fertilization Cost?

IVF costs can be difficult to generalize since each treatment is unique to the reproductive needs of the individual patient. On average, one cycle of IVF treatment at our clinics can range from $7,000 to $14,000.

These fees typically cover the costs of the IVF procedure (egg retrieval, inseminating eggs, and embryo transfer), as well as lab work, ultrasounds, embryo storage, and anesthesia. During your consultation at our Bakersfield, Thousand Oaks, Los Angeles, or Encino fertility office, our staff will patiently explain embryo storage and other cost factors and help you understand what you might expect to pay for fertility treatment.

Does Insurance Cover IVF?

Insurance coverage doesn't generally apply to IVF. Insurance companies may cover some forms of fertility testing and evaluation, but it's rare for insurance coverage to apply to the cost of IVF treatment.

While most insurance plans do not cover IVF, some parts of the procedure (monitoring or medications, for example) may be fully covered or partially covered. Our financial department can help you navigate your insurance policy and may be able to find some coverage for the infertility services you require. The compassionate professionals who comprise our staff will be glad to work directly with your insurance provider to maximize your coverage of all applicable fertility services.

Is IVF Worth the Cost?

  • Offering Patients Hope

If you are unable to have a baby because of your struggles with infertility, IVF treatment may be the right option to experience the joys of pregnancy, childbirth, and raising a child.
  • Investing in Your Family

It's difficult to put a price on building a family. For many of our Encino-area patients, having a child of their own after struggling with infertility is priceless.

If you've wanted to have a child, our fertility specialists can answer any questions you may have about IVF treatment and if the benefits are worth the price tag.

I can't complain about Dr Kalan. If there was a problem he wanted to be thorough and would talk to you about any additional testing he recommended to be done. He spoke in ways that helped me understand things. He even gave me a call after my baby was born to see how we were doing. its because of him i have my beautiful rainbow baby!
